PLC Interfaces for Parts Counting, Labeling & Traceability

SPEDE Solutions can interface to production machine PLCs to:

• Collect and display real-time production data
• Count parts
• Automatically trigger a container label at pack count
• Provide real-time inventory and labeling statuses at lineside
• Create traceability records by machine, part number, date, run, etc.
• Update host ERP, EDI, OEE systems

With an optional touchscreen PC at line-side, you can also view: 

• Part number, description, photo of the Part being made
• Piece counts (not just container counts): good / scrap pieces
• Serialized piece counts
• Rework Counts
• Pack count quantity
• Status of labels printed
• Machine cycle counts/ cycle timestamp
• Machine status, metrics
• Operator Number
• Shift / Date
• Work Order Number
• Lot Number 

The Touchscreen also enables you to adjust pack counts to allow for scrap or End of Run. It supports a scanner/ imager to record parts mark serial numbers. 

Production data is retained by SPEDE in an SQL database for inventory tracking and traceability. It updates host systems including ERP and OEE for analyzing  production efficiencies.
